Why Dynamite?
With the enormous variety of supplements available all over
for all species, why do we suggest the Dynamite brand over
others for most needs? Well, simply because in our
experience, they have proven to be the very best in the bio-
availability of their minerals.
Back in 1993, a friend who knew we had been looking for a
replacement for the mineral-rich kelp we had been using for
years and years but which was no longer available, gave us
information on the Dynamite products for horses.
We went ahead and ordered enough product for our herd of
1 stallion, 13 broodmares, and a number of babies and the
rest is history. We saw such wonderful changes in our
already well-fed, toxin-free horses that folks picking up
mares bred to our stallion (over 40 mares per season) asked
what we were doing, so we started feeding those outside
mares the Dynamite supplements, too.
While Mac's (Big Mac Tivio) babies had always been
outstanding, they got even better as the years passed. They
were far more developed with solid bone and larger bodies
than other foals their age and their mentality seemed to
blossom apace with their bodies.
When Dynamite came out with their first dog food, our
ancient German Shepherd, Herzen, went on it immediately
and he spent the last 6 months of life without the skin
problems and poor coat that had plagued him for a lifetime.
Incredibly our cats even got healthier on the dog food
although both the dogs and cats also got into the horse
feed,loving it and benefitting from that, too.
We, too, benefitted from the human products more than
anything else we had tried over the years and so did our
plants, expecially transplanted trees. This stuff is absolutely
amazing!
So why does Dynamite tend to work so much better than
other supplements? It's the unique, bio-available mineral
balance.
The Difference is in the Minerals
Minerals play a vital role in every part of the body. Without
optimum levels of minerals, the body cannot utilize dietary
protein, fats, vitamins and carbohydrates effectively.
Minerals function both directly and indirectly in supplying
energy and regulating body processes and are imperative for
growth and maintenance. In fact, minerals are so important
that Dr. Linus Pauling made the statement quoted above.
However, not all minerals that you see on labels are created
equal.
BIO-AVAILABILITY means that the body can use the
minerals. Rocks are minerals and dirt contains rock matter.
However these minerals are mineral salts such as oxides,
sulfates and carbonates. Such "elemental" minerals are
available to mammalian bodies in oly very limited quantities
with animals being able to digest a bit more than humans.
Excess mineral salts, acidic and with a positive ionic charge,
are stored in the body in joints, organs and other tissues
(fats!) eventually being experienced as arthritis, various
stones, and even blood vessel plaques.
CHELATION is what makes minerals bio-available; in other
words, what turns inorganic minerals into organic ones.
Chelation (key-lay'-shun) entails electrically bonding the
positive mineral ion to two or more amino acids thus
changing the charge to negative or alkaline and thus
available to living creatures. Normally this process is
performed by plants, but Dynamite (along with Albion Labs)
holds the patent for the only chelation process which mimics
nature.
CELLULAR MEMBRANES can only be penetrated by
chelated minerals of less than 1500 daltons or else the
chelate breaks apart returning to elemental status.
Dynamite chelates all have a molecular weight of less than
1000 daltons! Such chelation also allows certain
formulations to be "chelazoned" or targeted to specific areas
of the body. It is because Dynamite formulas are working at
this deep cellular level that they are able to be of so much
value to so many species. It is because of their patent that
they truly are better!
BALANCE also is critical. Balance of organic to inorganic
minerals, balance of the different minerals to each other,
and balance of all the nutrients together. Dynamite formulas
are balanced in every way to provide optimum nutrition and
availability to ALL bodies. This is why we suggest that
Dynamite formulas not be used along with other brands as
critical balances may be disturbed. And this is why we can
state that with Dynamite, less is more!
HIGH QUALITY - To top it all off, all ingredients are chosen
very specifically and personally by Jim or Jos Zamzow as
being the very best possible. Unfortunately, many less
expensive supplements, both human and animal, contain
very cheap ingredients. Even though supplement labels
state truthfully, "manufactured in the US", the ingredients
themselves are not, and most of them come from China. ,
most of which are Chinese.The reason these ingredients are
so cheap has to do with production methods resulting in
many recent recalls. There are absolutely NO products
imported from China in ANY Dynamite product!
Dynamite History
Dynamite products have been proven effective for over 70
years and an untold number of champions!
In 1933, August and Carmalita Zamzow founded a feed
formulation and manufacturing business in Boise, Idaho.
Their special supplement, Dynamite, designed for horses on
the California racetracks earned rave reviews. One of the
early users of it was 1948 Triple Crown winner, Citation.
Hard work, quality feeds, customer service and integrity
grew their company, Zamzow's Inc., into an 8 store retail
chain that still thrives today.
Inspired by what August and Carmalita had accomplished,
grandson Jim Zamzow founded Dynamite Marketing, Inc. In
1982 with the vision of improving the health of all living
beings through better nutrition. In his efforts to understand
real equine nutrition, he followed (by helicopter) wild horse
herds, collected samples and then analyzed the nutrients.
Additionally Jim studied extensively in the fields of nutrition,
soil science, microbiology, mycology and herbal medicine
and works closely with a vast network of nationally
recognized in these fields to develop for Dynamite cutting
edge formulations.
Dynamite corporate headquarters in Meridian ID, continues
the Zamzow legacy with their home-owned chemical-free

Species Specific Diet
However, regardless of how good a feed or supplement truly
is, no supplement can overcome poor eating or feeding

particular species which is as close to the diet upon which
that being evolved, fresh, whole and free of toxins.
