What's new?
- Well the horror of horrors of computer users happened to me:
my hard drive crashed and I lost ALL work in progrss......a total of close to 100 projects with all their attendant research! Fortunately this website was saved on Yahoo (I use Yahoo Sitebuilder) so everything here was rescued. Please let me know if you run into any anomalies or problems which can occur even on this site when such importing of data is necessary. New articles will be a little slower in arriving now, but you can't keep this old gal down!
- In honor of the coming hot weather, I have brought the Human
FAQ: Water up to date while increasing its pages to 3, so lots more relevant information! Luckily I had a print-out draft copy so I was able to recreate this readily!
- There is a new link for horses on the Links page. www.
safergrass.org is a site dedicated to teaching about safe equine forage. By a CO researcher, it is like an extended version, complete with studies, of our Forage article. All of you with pastures or looking for hay, please check it out - it is very important!
- And for all those who think that the giant long-haired German
Shepherd Cyrus is absolutely the best and want one of his puppies, he is scheduled to breed a few bitches this spring. To find out more, go to http://selah1.homestead.com.
Multi-Species "Mom" notes . . .
Healthy pregnancy, delivery and lactation for all mammalian species is especially dependent upon proper mineralization of Mom. The sooner optimum nutrition and mineralization is started (some holistic health care professionals suggest serious amending of both diet and supplementation a year prior to conception), the more positive results you can experience. In fact, it really takes unto the third generation to fully optimize female mammals since they all develop their complete egg supply during their own gestation: in other words, they are born with all the eggs they will ever have. And since mother’s milk can carry toxins so easily (rocket fuel has recently been shown to be in human mothers’ milk), it is wise to avoid as many toxins as humanly possible and specifically detoxify any species if possible before conception occurs. It has been shown over decades of use, that the bio-available minerals in optimum amounts as in the DYNAMITE supplements help to grow both skeletal and nervous systems of the babies and allows more mothers to not only become pregnant in the first place, but to even aid in carrying the babies to term. Remember that the uterus is a muscle and well-mineralized muscles can work harder and longer without fatigue so labors tend to be shorter with far less to no discomfort or problems. Babies themselves will be more apt to be strong and healthy, with sharp eyes, minds, and more coordinated muscles and less fussing. An overabundance of elemental minerals such as common carbonates, oxides or sulfates can actually cause imbalances whereas DYNAMITE’s patented chelation process results in minerals that are, in effect, organic. This means they are not only available to the body but any excess can easily be eliminated. So make sure all the future moms in your house or barn eat plenty of good, alkaline pH species-specific diets and supplement with DYNAMITE basics. You will be able to look forward to happy, healthy pregnancies and DYNAMITE babies! The suggestions below are predicated still on optimum, species- specific diets. For more information, see the appropriate Product Profiles on this site.
HUMANS
- Elixir - with its colloidal minerals and organic apple cider base,
Elixir starts the cells on their way to homeostasis, proper electrolyte balance and alkaline pH. Many pregnant ladies have even reported that one ounce in water has helped to control nausea.
- Dynamite Regular - has a perfect balance of nutrients to make
a superb pre- and post-natal vitamin/mineral supplement. It even contains 400 mcg of Folic Acid which has been shown to prevent Spinal Bifida and other neurological abnormalities. Some women have taken up to 4 per day during pregnancy and lactation.
- TriMins Plus - supplies all the major minerals necessary to
grow healthy skeletons and to keep mom’s muscles in good health. Because the needs of the baby vary during different stages of pregnancy, many women have found themselves increasing their TriMins to about 6 per day around mid-way to avoid leg cramps and insomnia. Interestingly, taking them in the evening can help in avoiding morning nausea, while taking them in the morning can help in avoiding evening nausea.
- Other supplements - Many women also like to add Herbal
Green for the chlorophyll power and to aid in alkalizing their bodies. It also provides a another superb and balanced source of calcium. Others have found an extra capsule of PMS is all that is needed to prevent constipation so common during late pregnancy. For those experiencing minor anemia, Iron +2 is the most bio-available iron possible thus lessening the possibility of digestive upsets and increasing its uptake by four times standard iron preparations. Hiscorbadyne is high in bio- flavanoids which are known for strengthening blood vessels which can be very important for those with varicose veins, pregnancy-onset diabetes, and problems with spotting or possible miscarriages.
- External aids - With long labors and breech presentations,
applying a poultice of Miracle Clay to the whole abdomen can sometimes make a surprising difference in the ability of the baby being able to turn itself. Even though it is formulated for animal use, many moms find that spraying their abdomens with Release can aid during labor and spraying on engorged breasts can very quickly relieve that discomfort. Many also find massaging both their breasts and their abdomens with Wound Balm a few times per week, both as expansion occurs and after delivery, can help keep the tissue healthy and pliable enough to avoid stretch marks.
BROODMARES
- Free Choice Minerals - broodmares’ need for minerals will
increase during pregnancy so be sure to keep all available at all times: Izmine, NTM Salt, 1 to 1 and 2 to 1 especially to help avoid DOD and/or the formation of OCD lesions during skeletal formation.
- DynaPro - if you have not been giving DynaPro daily, start
now! It will help keep the mare’s gut in fine fettle in order to support digestion and thus nutritional uptake; plus it nurtures beneficial bacteria which provide the first line of defense against pathogens as she works to grow that big baby for you! Following foaling, it is especially important she have DynaPro daily; many breeders insist that by doing this, they can either eliminate entirely or greatly reduce the dreaded “foal heat scours.”
- Dynamite Regular - is the way to go for hard-working
broodmares rather than the Plus. The standard recommendation is 1.5-2 oz per day; more if mare is continued to be ridden or campaigned.
- Other supplements and aids - For all broodmares, but
especially those who have either had settling, holding or foaling problems, Breeder’s Pac has been the answer for untold numbers of mares. Fed at 2 oz per day IN ADDITION TO THE RECOMMENDATIONS ABOVE, even geriatric or former competitive mares have successfully completed pregnancies. For healthy, mature broodmares who have been on the complete DYNAMITE Program for a period of years, generally only 1 oz is needed rather than the suggested two. Many horse owners like to start their mares on Easy Boy a few weeks before the expected foaling date to supply extra magnesium and B-Vitamins for labor. At the same time, adding Hiscorbadyne can also strengthen blood vessels, especially important for mares with a history of bleeding during or after foaling. Another helpful aid to proper electrolyte balance during labor and delivery is to give the mare some DynaSpark. Following delivery, HES can be added for the extra fat and calories necessary for abundant lactation vital during the first critical 3 months of the foal’s life. Maiden mares especially can become quite anxious during labor and delivery; Relax or Tranquil can be helpful in letting them work with their bodies instead of against them. Release sprayed on the mares udder can help “let the milk down” so the baby can more easily grasp the teat and suck down that vital colostrum. Also, many owners prefer using Solace (colloidal silver) as a naval treatment rather than the more harsh iodine/Betadyne preparations.
For details, see both Equine FAQ: Foal Feeding and Equine FAQ: Foaling.
BROODBITCHES
- DynaPro - keeping the gut in order supports digestion and thus
nutritional uptake plus nurtures beneficial bacteria which provide the first line of defense against pathogens.
- Showdown - while the regular Showdown works great for
most pregnant bitches, many kennel owners prefer to give their broodbitches Breeder Formula Showdown instead.
- Other supplements - during labor, some owners have found
that Showdown Elite seems to provide the extra stamina needed for long labors. With our new canine DynaSpark, exhausted muscles due to electrolyte imbalance can become a thing of the past. Hiscorbadyne offers dogs similar circulatory help as it does for humans and horses. And of course make liberal use of Relax and Release! Many dog owners also like to provide human supplements instead of, or in addition to, the canine ones. This is generally done by providing 1/4 to 1/2 the amount suggested for humans depending on the size of the dog.
In closing, one essential pregnancy kit item for all species is Trace Minerals Concentrate. Proven safe during pregnancy, it can help internally in supporting an immune systems challenged by colds, the flu, vaginal or uterine infections and such. Placed topically on torn tissue, it can stop bleeding in seconds.
Book Reports
- Qigong for Treating Common Ailments by Xiangcai Xu. In his
first paragraph of this small book, Professor Xu informs us that: "Qigong is a psychosomatic regime, which through mind, breathing, and posture regulation aids in the prevention and treatment of disease and preserves and lengthens life. Qigong cultivates intrinsic energy (genuine Qi) which is found naturally in all people. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) holds that genuine Qi is a dynamic force, which powers all the vital functions in the human body." He goes to detail a system for maintaining overall health while addressing specific problems with exact treatments that are natural, safe, easy to learn, and entirely doable at home because of the very specific and clear directions.
- The Fred Factor by Mark Sanborn. Normally I run far from
anything or anyone smacking of "motivational teachers." However, this little 100 page volume is an absolute gem and for the $10 price tag at Amazon, you can buy numerous copies to give as special gifts for those you care about! Sanborn found inspiration when he encountered his new postal delivery person, Fred, who turned his mundane job into a passion for life and into an incredible caring for all on his route. It is a grounding in "Pay It Forward." It is a grounding in what Mother Theres said, "We cannot all do great things, but we can do small things with great love." Mark Sanborn brings it down to 4 principals, each of which entails choices of perception, of how we see ourselves and others. It actually is a very profound little book on the true meaning of success. The ultimate exhortation is to "Spread Fred!" One woman who preceded "Fred" was Peace Pilgrim whose mission in life was to walk for peace. Read her complete story at http://www.peacepilgrim.net - it is truly awe-inspiring!
- Crones Don't Whine: Concentrated Wisdom for Juicy Women
by Jean Shinoda Bolen, MD. If you loved Crossing Avalon by Dr. Bolen, chances are you'll love this exquisite little volume about the true meaning of becoming a crone. Absolutely delightful! I dare say no more or I'll tell the entire book!
- The Whole Soy Story: The Dark Side of America's Favorite
Health Food by Kaayla Daniel, Ph.D., CNN. If you are still under the impression that soy products the way that Americans eat them are good for you, reading this book might just change your mind. Highly recommended by Dr. Joseph Mercola, http: //www.mercola.com/2005/feb/26/soy_myths.htm, and just published March 10, 2005, this book goes into all the hidden dangers of soy that the manufacturers have kept hidden from consumers. Most dangerous are the soy isolates hidden in almost every single processed food. For you who might be concerned about soy in some of the Dynamite animal products, that soy is whole extruded meal from non-genetically modified, organically grown fields - a far cry from the standard soy available.
Did You Know? (from www.healthynewsletter.com, with my comments following)
- ...that almost 30% of prescriptions written for people over sixty-
five in managed-care plans are for medications deemed potentially inappropriate for older people. And that 5% of those seniors were prescribed one of eleven drugs that a consensus panel of medical experts recommend older patients should "always avoid." (Serena Gordon, HealthDay News, Feb. 25, 2005)
When physicians are needed for elder care, always consult with a geriatric specialist who can guide such care appropriately. Of course many drugs might be avoided by adhering to a healthier lifestyle and taking your Dynamite supplements!
- ...the average stick of chewing gum holds its flavor about seven
minutes.
So you get more and more artificial sweeteners every time you grab a new stick of gum if you're going after the "sugar-free" stuff. Speaking of sweeteners, did you know that besides neck and arm pain, that aspartame can also cause lesions of the brain and other nerve damage (ie: MS-type symptoms)? If none of the standard tests come up positive in trying to diagnose such symptoms, try stopping ALL artificial sweeteners which can be quite hidden and stick only to "real" foods.
- ...100-grams each of human breast milk contains 33-milligrams
of calcium,100-grams of Florida oranges contains 43-milligrams calcium, dried apricots contain 67-mg, raisins/62-mg, pistachios/161-mg, parsley/203-mg, raw cabbage/49-mg, carrots/37-mg (per carrot), watercress/151-mg, hummus (made with chickpeas)/150-mg, and tahini from ground sesame seeds/160-mg calcium.
All vegetables contain more minerals when grown in HumiZyme- fed soil and all calcium is better utilized by the body in the presence of natural fats such as range-free dairy products, wild Alaskan salmon, or even an avocado; not necessarily standard vegetable oils which contain unbalanced Omega ratios. If your diet is less than optimum, do supplement with Dynamite TriMins daily. When under extreme stress of illness or injury, many distributors have been known to take up to 8 capsules per day.
- ...Curcumin, the yellow pigment in turmeric (curry spice), may
be one of the reasons India has among the world's lowest Alzheimer's disease rates, according to a new UCLA-Veterans Affairs study.
In addition to perhaps eating more curry, also stay away from aluminum and mercury sources!
- ...After years of debate about whether a nationwide explosion
in autism is related to a mercury-based preservative used in vaccines, Texas researchers have found a new suspect: mercury from coal-burning power plants. In a new study, scientists at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio are reporting a strong correlation between higher mercury release levels and the developmental disorder marked by communication and social interaction problems.
Why in the world, when the toxicity of mercury is so well- documented, does the US Dental Association still insist that amalgam fillings, consisting of 50% mercury, are safe to put into mouths?
Points to Ponder
- Inulin, safe for diabetics, is a new sweetener believed to
improve blood lipid levels and is currently being studied as a pre-cancer nutrient especially in preventing adverse precancerous changes in the colon. It is thought that it aids the colon since it feeds the friendly bacterial colonies in the intestine. Similar to stevia, it is a plant which can be eaten raw like fruit and whose roots, when dried, become even sweeter. Inulin is found in two sweeteners not yet on the American market - Tastes Like Sugar(r) from Empirical Labs and Yacón. Hopefully they will be available in the US within the year.
This should prove to be another good alternative to artificial sweeteners which not only do NOT help people lose weight, but which also add to liver toxicity and health challenges.
- Is organically food really healthier for you? According to an
experiment, rats that ate organic food were healthier than rats that ate conventional diets. The experiment included 36 rats that were fed on three diets. While each diet included the same ingredients (potatoes, carrots, peas, green kale, apples and rapeseed oil) three different cultivation strategies were used: Organically--with low input of fertilizer, without pesticides; Minimally fertilized--with low input of fertilizer, with pesticides; Conventionally--with high input of fertilizer, with pesticides. The same diets were fed to the rats throughout their lives and health measurements began at 19 weeks of age after weaning of their first litter. Scientists found that, compared to rats that ate conventional diets, organically fed rats experienced various health benefits. Researchers found the rats that ate organic or minimally fertilized diets had:
- Improved immune system status compared to rats that ate conventional diets. - Better sleeping habits. - Less weight and were slimmer than rats that fed on other diets. - Higher vitamin E content in their blood (for organically fed rats). Danish Research Centre for Organic Farming, Science Daily March 29, 2005 http://www. sciencedaily. com/releases/2005/03/050328182123.htm What a wonderful way to prove that organically grown foods really CAN make a health difference! And why not? After all, massive chemical fertilization is very new, begun really after WWII, so we are all being experimented upon when we eat standard foods.
- Organic Community ... This Iowa community has taken the
concept of organic to heart and to law!. Maharishi Vedic City, a town of about 200 in southeast Iowa, has become what some experts believe is the first all-organic city in the country. The city council has voted to ban the use of synthetic pesticides and fertilizers within the city limits. City Attorney Maureen Wynne said residents in the city already use all-organic methods so the council's vote only formalized a practice that was already in place. Wynne said the ban covers everything from lawns and shrubs on both residential and commercial properties. The ban follows earlier action to grow and sell only organic foods within the city limits. http://www.theiowachannel. com/news/4387169/detail.html
Gee, what a great way to introduce both Dynamite Prescription Treatment and HumiZyme!! Wonder if anyone has introduced these superior organic fertilizers to this town?

Smile of the Month ...
One afternoon, a man went to his doctor and told him that he hasn't been feeling well lately. The doctor examined the man, left the room, and came back with three different bottles of pills.
The doctor said, "Take the green pill with a big glass of water when you wake up. Take the blue pill with a big glass of water after you eat lunch. Then just before going to bed, take the red pill with another big glass of water."
Startled to be put on so much medicine, the man stammered, "Jeez Doc, exactly what is my problem?"
The doctor replied, "You're not drinking enough water."
