Testimonial - A Cancer Miracle
Hello Everyone - this is Rowan . . .
As a therapist, I would like to share the remarkable story of an
active, and previously very healthy, elderly client (in his 70’s and
who wishes to remain anonymous) diagnosed with extensive and
invasive Stage 4 prostate cancer, but who, with prompt
nutritional and supplement intervention, is in total remission five
months later. This case is really quite radical and has to give
anyone with any sort of cancer some profound hope and trust
that similar results could happen to them if they, too, would
follow the general protocol adjusted to their personal needs and
create a similar attitude toward living and dying. I believe the
keys to any disease state are detoxification, strong nutritional
support, and philosophical/spiritual clarity.

BACKGROUND

Over the summer and fall of 2005, EG had to “push” harder and
harder to get things done that previously had been of absolutely
no consequence. His wife noticed that his face aged years within
only a few months becoming gaunt with sunken eyes. By
Christmas, he could barely rouse the energy to make a very
simple family holiday meal which he had wanted to do and he
had precipitously lost an alarming 30 pounds of weight so that
his pants hung on him.

During the fall, vague pains he had been feeling for some months
sort of “coagulated.” There was enough discomfort in his right
upper leg/groin and upper back that he spent almost a week in
November in his bathrobe getting others to deal with his chores;
an utterly unknown action before this. He simply attributed all of
this to “aging” and the fact that probably his arthritis was finally
catching up to him. After some massage work failed to relieve his
symptoms, the therapist wisely persuaded him to see a
chiropractor and , also very wisely, strongly suggested he visit a
naturopathic physician, especially since he was experiencing
considerable nausea.

EG saw the chiropractor twice during December but the
adjustments not only would not hold, but hurt him terribly with
the discomfort spreading throughout his ribcage, zeroing in on his
sternum. It was this that drove him to finally make an
appointment on January 18, 2006 with the naturopath who
immediately did a complete blood panel. The results were
devastating: PSA/2062.9 (normal is .1 to 4), SGOT/72, Alkaline
Phosphatase/249, & C Reactive Protein/140 and although his
Bilirubin/.5 indicated normal lymph action, his hemoglobin count
was down to 8.9. indicating severe anemia The naturopath said it
looked like metastasized prostate cancer and he set up an
appointment with an oncologist for the following Friday, January
27. EG had not seen a medical doctor in well over 20 years.

The oncologist suggested a PET scan before further discussion; it
was accomplished on Wednesday, February 1. The results, which
EG was told the following week, confirmed 4th stage primary
prostate cancer with invasion of the urethra and lower bladder
plus secondary bone tumors throughout the entire right pelvic
region going into the femur and up the spine with emphasis on
T2-4 and the sternum; right where he had the pain that sent him
to the chiropractor in the first place. When EG suggested to the
oncologist that he needed 6 months to get financial matters
cleared up for his wife and family, the doctor replied he hoped to
give him that with hormone therapy (monthly Lupron injections
and daily Casodex/50 mg pills), the only apparently somewhat
successful treatment at this stage, but that he certainly could not
guarantee even that long considering the severity of the invasion.

PROTOCOL

EG had “eaten well” his entire life and had been on excellent
supplementation for the last 40+ years with a move to
DYNAMITE® in the mid-1990’s when he started with the daily
basics (Elixir, Regular & TriMins) plus Hiscorbadyne, Zinc+, Free &
Easy and Izmine. In 2004, he added in Carlson’s fish/cod liver oil.

Upon the initial January diagnosis when he asked my opinion, we
initiated testing supplements to arrive at the best personal
protocol. I had just come across Natural Cellular Defense drops, a
liquid zeolite form that was originally patented as a cancer drug.
EG tested for 15 drops 4 times daily and started on them upon
their arrival to his home the very next day.

As for his daily DYNAMITE® regimen, he tested for Trace Minerals
Concentrate/30drops 3x daily, Dynamite Regular/6 caps, TriMins/6
caps, Elixir/2oz, Hiscorbadyne/18 caps (he was unable to tolerate
SOD at all), Zinc +/6 caps, Free & Easy/12 caps, Iron+2/6 tabs
(although this was discontinued, we found some in stock), and
Izmine/6 caps. In addition, Jim Zamzow suggested and supplied
EG with a special blend of exotic mushrooms of which he took 2
daily plus increasing his Carlson's Cod Liver Oil to 6 daily and
beginning 18 raw dessicated liver capsules (Carlson's) daily.

With his lack of appetite and aggressive nausea, he tested
positive only for raw free-range milk/cream and an increase of
raw vegetable juice from 2 oz daily to 16 oz daily of a kale, beet,
carrot, parsley, apple mix with a bit of fresh lemon juice and a
raw range free egg yolk added. This combination was geared to
help build his blood, support his immune system, and supply high
levels of complex anti-oxidants. For solids, he tested for however
many handfuls (his wife said he usually consumed 2-3 per day) of
a home-made trail mix I created consisting of equal portions by
volume of dried blueberries/cranberries/goji berries,
walnuts/almonds/sunflower seeds/pumpkin seeds, raw shredded
coconut & just some raw cocoa nibs (very high in antioxidants but
bitter tasting). This, along with frequent bowls of nutritious
pureed homemade soups and stews, was his sole diet until his
appetite returned in a couple of months.

RESULTS

Within three weeks of beginning the new program, EG’s vertebral,
sternal and groin pains lessened considerably to the point where
he no longer groaned when urinating or hunched over when
sitting or walking. The blood panel taken on February 23
indicated his PSA count was already down to just over 1500 and
his hemoglobin was up to 9.3. Both definitely in the right
direction.

Subsequent blood tests continued to be incredibly encouraging:
March PSA/52.88, hemo/9.2; April PSA/0.45, hemo/12.5, and May
PSA/0.11, hemo/14. With normal ranges of PSA being 0.1-4.0 and
adult male hemoglobin being 12-14, both counts, as of May, are
well within ideal range. His oncologist told him he had never seen
such a complete turn-around in all his 30 years of treating cancer
and the office is considering EG in remission. His next
appointment is not until July rather than every 2 weeks.

EG is feeling better than he has in years and has gained back all
the lost weight, joking that it's a good thing he didn’t go out and
waste money on new pants. He is thrilled that he can continue to
enjoy life and his loving family for an undetermined length of
time saying we all have to go sometime but he’s glad of the
extra time so he can finish all his considerable business and
personal ventures and even start new ones. He has made the
decision to continue taking the larger quantity of fresh vegetable
juice daily although his NCD and TMC are down to only 10 drops
each per day and his maintenance dose of most of his other
supplements is down as well: Dynamite Regular/6 caps, TriMins/3
caps, Elixir/2oz, Hiscorbadyne/6 caps, Zinc+/4 caps, Free &
Easy/6 caps, Iron+2/2 tabs (or until supply runs out), and
Izmine/4 caps. Other supplements are finishing out his
mushrooms, decreasing Cod Liver Oil to 3 daily but keeping to 18
raw dessicated liver capsules daily.

Since the approach here was so multi-faceted and intense, it is
hard for EG to specifically point to any one thing as being primary
although he does feel the juice and both sets of drops (NCD and
TMC) were most definitely paramount. In fact, he says he started
to feel hints of returning energy within a week of starting those,
but it still took a couple of months for him to feel more like his
old self. Part of his lack of vocalization about feeling better, he
thinks, was due somewhat to his fear of “jinxing” the good that
was occurring! Of course he, and others, were also praying for
whatever his soul needed (accepting if necessary his transition)
plus he was doing breathing and energy-promoting exercises as
well which I devised for him according to his ever-changing
abilities. And of course all of this on a basically well -nourished
and well-mineralized body thanks to those years of Dynamite
supplements that his wife gave him!

I would put EG's recovery down to not only the protocol, but also
to his attitude of forging ahead while accepting fully the cancer
and the possibility of total cure without ever going into a victim
mode. He continued to live life to the fullest even when he was
only able to read a bit in his bathrobe and continues living life to
the fullest as he finds ever more goals to accomplish.

which agency decisions are based has been compromised." In particular, the
scientists are concerned about a group of organophosphate pesticides they believe
should no longer be allowed on the market due to their harmful effects on children,
infants and fetuses. Specifically, the letter references 20 toxic pesticides that were
developed from nerve gases after World War II, many of which are still available for
purchase at most gardening centers. The EPA has not responded to the letter.

  • SLEEP MAY HELP WEIGHT LOSS -- Women who do not get enough sleep are more
likely to pile on the pounds, research shows. Scientists found women who sleep for
five hours or less a night typically weigh more than those who get at least seven
hours. And over a 16-year period they are more likely to end up obese than those
who get plenty of sleep. Researchers said it was not entirely clear why a lack of
sleep makes women put on weight, but it may disrupt the body's normal metabolism.
They also suggested that those who do not get enough sleep may move around less
during the day and so burn off fewer calories. The study, presented yesterday at the
American Thoracic Society International Conference in San Diego, California,
underlines the importance of getting a good night's sleep. Experts have warned
previously that middle-aged people who sleep for less than five hours a night are
more likely to suffer high blood pressure. Rest is also vital for boosting long-term
memory by helping consolidate the day's events in the brain. (newsmax.com)

Point to Ponder #1 -  Lower Intensity Exercise Melts
More Pounds
A brisk walk through the park might be better than a fast run
when it comes to shedding pounds, a new study suggests.
The trick is to exercise for more than 40 minutes at a time. High
impact or strenuous exercise or jogging for only 30 minutes
simply depletes the body of blood glucose and causes a sense of
fatigue and hunger. That increased appetite leads to more eating
and weight gain. Only after 40 minutes of light exercise or
walking, are enzymes released to
turn body fat into additional fuel glucose. This means only after
40 minutes are you "burning fat." Just walking one hour daily
each week will lead to a weight loss of about 3 to 5 pounds per
week, regardless of your diet. Diets and pills are not the way to
healthful weight loss.
This used to occur in one-hour P.E. classes in schools, but with
the classes dropped and kids now sitting playing video games or
watching TV, they now become obese. Two separate 30 minute
exercise sessions each day, with eating meals in between, will
not produce weight loss. It is not just total calories burned each
day, but only continuous light exercise longer than 40 minutes at
a time which will release the natural fat-burning enzymes.

Point to Ponder #2 - Hunter Wasting Disease Warning
This is an email from our friend Sumner Sargent who researches Wasting
Disease as his avocation - this is critical information for any deer or elk
hunter or consumer.

Hello Rowan - This should be of interest and serve as a warning
to your readers who are deer hunters or who have friends who are.

It has recently been discovered that wasting disease prions
are active in muscle tissue.
Among deer the vector is tongue to
saliva to grazing land where pastures remain contaminated for
many years.

Prions are neither virus or bacteria. They are an errant protein
that replicates itself when contacting normal prions. The disease
progresses through the nervous system eventually rendering the
brain into a sponge-like material. It manifests itself as scrappie
in sheep, CWD in deer and BSE (Bovine Spongiform Encephalitis -
“mad cow disease”) in cattle. In laboratory experiments, prions
have jumped the species barrier in everything from ferrets to
chimpanzees; there are no cures and the resultant diseases are
always fatal. 1100 degrees Fahrenheit (the temperature of white
hot steel) is required to destroy the prions.

Dr. Stanley Prusiner, who received a Nobel prize for the discovery
of prions, has announced that Alzheimer's and dementia are also
prion related diseases. [
http://www.neurologyreviews.
com/dec99/nr_dec99_Prions.html] It is interesting to note that a
52 year old lab worker who analyzed wasting disease tissue at
CSU, Fort Collins has died of a what was described not as
Alzheimer's but as an Alzheimer's pathology. A recent case in of
CJD (Creutzfeld-Jakob Disease - the human variant) has been
reported at a local hospital where it is believed to have been
passed to the patient by surgical instruments. The hospital is
now looking for six more patients who had been exposed to the
same surgical instruments.

Since the prions that cause wasting disease have an affinity for
steel, accepted veterinarian safety procedures include disposing
of cutting instruments and protective eye covers when exposed to
wasting disease infected tissue. Also required is that the lab
floors and tables be blotted and the blotters burned to avoid
contamination of the sewers water reclamation plants. Hunters
field dressing deer and elk should be so advised. And since
infected deer entrails are considered to be a Class II bio-
hazardous waste, they should not be left on public or private
lands to infect cattle or other grazing animals, but should be
buried where they will not affect the watershed.

Additionally, game processing plants expose customers to every
deer or elk processed. I would estimate that processing a deer or
elk by a local game processing plant would be as risky as having
unprotected sex with a ghetto prostitute.

The latest research demonstrates :
  1. Wasting disease prions previously believed to be found only in nerve
tissue has been found in muscle tissue as well.
  2. The animal to animal vector has found to be from the lounge (a muscle) to
saliva to grazed pastures, then to other animals.
  3. Once contaminated, grazing land remains so for three years.
  4. Deer culling is ineffective for preventing wasting disease.
  5. DOW erred in culling our deer population because doing so is ineffective
and because the gene pool, which we hope to develop immunities, is
seriously depleted, perhaps beyond it's capacity to recover.
  6. The disease will be eradicated when remaining animals develop genetic
resistance to the disease rather than the culling that DOW now demands.
  7. In order to allow our deer population to recover, there should be a
moratorium or a drastic reduction in hunter harvest.
  8. In order to prevent future law suits, the county and DOW should warn
hunters that muscular tissue has been found to transmit the disease and
that temperatures of white hot steel are required to sterilize their hunting
    knives.

Please contact your local commissioners, the Board of Health,
and the Larimer County Environmental Committee (if local) and
request legislation requiring DOW to make available to hunters
facilities to incinerate deer entrails and mandatory legislation
requiring hunters to oblige.
                                    Sincerely, Sumner Sargent,

Point to Ponder #3 - Good news on the Codex
but more work ahead!
Natural
Solutions Foundation   www.healthfreedomusa.org

Health advocates gained a huge advantage this week at the
Codex Committee on Food Labeling (CCFL) when the mandated
implementation pro-health, pro-nutrition World Health
Organization (WHO) Global Strategy on Diet, Physical Activity and
Health (GS) was put in place. This pro-health, pro-nutrition
stance is unprecedented within Codex.

Next, CCFL's recommendations will be presented to the Codex
Commission (Geneva, Switzerland, July 3-7, 2006). Since WHO
mandated Codex implement the GS, the principles laid down this
week are immensely important because they set the stage for
health forces to have an impact they have not been able to exert
before. Click here to read how it happened (http://prweb.
com/releases/2006/5/prweb381188.htm).

Because of the courageous South African delegate, Ms.
Antoinette Booyzen, a group of pro-health principles will become
part of Codex. Of course, this powerful advance was opposed by
the US which declared its opposition to optimal health and its
endorsement of advertising junk food to children! It was not a
proud moment.

Will the other side just lie down and go away? Of course not.
There's too much at stake. But now is the time for us to marshal
our forces, lay our strategy and get our ducks in a row. Click here
(
http://blog.healthfreedomusa.org/ ) for important steps you can
take now to help get us ready for the next phase of this battle.

This wonderful sea change could be the beginning of a new era in
health freedom if we play our cards right. Thank you, South Africa!

Yours in health and freedom,

Point to Ponder #4  -  Bananas Build a Youthful
Stomach
                                                                  Victoria at Chet Day
Dayzines www.chetday.com

Experts say that bananas and plantains strengthen the surface
cells of the stomach lining, forming a sturdier barrier against
noxious juices.

Rats fed banana powder had a visibly thicker stomach lining.
Other rats were fed aspirin and other chemicals to see what
happened to the barrier in the stomach. The lining decreased with
aspirin (no surprise!) and even was thinner with Tagamet.  In the
rats that were fed both banana powder and aspirin, the banana
counteracted the drug's erosive effects and the lining was still
increased by almost 20%.

Bananas are also great for helping to lower cholesterol because
of their high pectin content.  One medium banana has as much
pectin as a medium size apple.

Unripe, green plantains are super potent against ulcers. The
bigger the better as they contain more of the active chemical that
protects the stomach.

Eat unripe green plantains boiled or baked and if you do fry them,
use organic, unrefined coconut oil as it does not break down in
high heat.  Oils that break down in high heat are toxic in the
body and cause free radical damage.  Free radicals are highly
reactive molecules that can tear into your cells and start nasty
chain reactions that can leave behind extensive damage,
including alteration of your genetic code (DNA) and formation of
cancer cells. That is one reason why you need to stay away from
fried foods if you are serious about fighting the aging process.

Menu of the Month -  Father's Day Picnic
This is John's favorite picnic meal that takes advantage of some
of the new fresh produce available at our local Whole Foods
Market........

               Creamy, Dreamy Potato Salad
Marinated Asparagus Spears & Mushroom Halves
Fresh Jalapeno Peppers & Cherry Tomatoes
               Purchased Broasted Chicken
                  Prize-winning Cheesecake
                       Fresh Fruit of Choice

Creamy, Dreamy Potato Salad (John named this by calling my
"creamy" salad "dreamy"!.... and no, his cholesterol level is
terrific!) While 3# new red potatoes are steaming, stir together
in large bowl, 1/2 cup @  home-made/purchased mayonnaise,
sour cream, and vinaigrette of choice (I frequently use Newmans'
Balsamic), and 1 cup chopped green onion. When potatoes are
steamed and cool enough to handle, cube them unpeeled and
toss with dressing while still warm. Cover and refrigerate at least
a few hours or overnight.

Marinated Asparagus Spears & Mushroom Halves Once
potatoes are removed from steamer, add a bunch of fresh
asparagus spears with bottoms broken off (breaking them allows
the spear to indicate its own line between tender and tough
parts), and one pint of cleaned mushrooms cut in half,  cover and
steam a few minutes just until asparagus is barely fork tender -
time will depend on spear diameter. Remove vegetables from
steamer and place immediately in shallow container; pour
vinaigrette of choice over all to cover, cover and refrigerate.

Fresh Jalapeno Peppers & Cherry Tomatoes  John just eats
these right out of the bag, but if you would prefer, quarter up a
variety of ripe red/yellow/orange/purple bell peppers and cherry
tomatoes.

Purchased Broasted Chicken  Yes, we "cheat" on this but the
Whole Foods cooked chickens are sooooo good and absolutely no
fuss, muss or hassle! Substitute chicken or cold cuts or deviled
eggs if you would prefer.

Prize-winning Baked Cheesecake  I originally developed this
recipe decades ago when I was cooking for a lady who loved
entertaining. It always seemed to be so very popular, I entered it
in a Prevention magazine contest and won! Back then I made my
own crust and you certainly can do so if you wish.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spread some
(perhaps 3T) strawberry preserves in the bottom of 2– 9”
prepared graham cracker crusts and set aside.  Beat together 2—
8 oz packages room temperature cream cheese, 1 tsp vanilla and
1/2 tsp almond extract until smooth and a bit fluffy. Stir in 1/3
cup Rapadura (or 3/4 tsp white powder stevia). Then beat in 3
eggs, one at a time until blended..Pour/spoon mixture into crusts
taking care to distribute it evenly. Bake in 350º preheated oven
for 25 minutes; remove cheesecakes but leave oven on.
TOPPING: whisk together 2 cups sour cream, 1/3 cup Rapadura
(or 3/4 tsp white powder stevia) and 1 tsp vanilla until blended.
Distribute the topping mixture evenly over the two cooled
cheesecakes. Bake at 350º degree an additional 10 minutes. Cool
completely, cover and refrigerate until serving. VARIATIONS: Use
any preserve of choice rather than strawberry; top with cherries or
other fresh or frozen/thawed fruit; use 3T citrus (lemon, lime or
orange) juice in filling & 1/2—1 tsp zest; for “eggnog”
cheesecake, add 3T rum & 1/2 tsp nutmeg to batter; use 1—3T
any liqueur of choice such as Amaretto, Bailey’s Cream, Kahlua,
etc.; add 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (or 1/2 cup grated
bittersweet chocolate) to batter before baking; In lieu of sour
cream topping, top chocolate cheesecake with raspberry preserve
glaze by melting 1 cup preserves in small pan; or go double
chocolate with a chocolate glaze: heat together, stirring
constantly, 1/2 cup grated bittersweet chocolate and 1/4 cup
heavy cream until mixture is smooth and slightly thickened; pour
over cheesecake and let cool for 30 minutes before refrigerating

Fresh Fruit of Choice  take advantage of the great fresh fruit
now available in your area! John's favorite is cherries but he also
really enjoys red or green grapes and mini-watermelons - go with
what you like and with what is available but do take care to eat
fruit about 1-1.5 hrs after your meal to foster appropriate, and
gas-less, digestion.

A Chuckle -                                                          from The Good Clean
Funnies List-  www.gcfl.com

Old Abraham was a poor tailor whose shop was next door to a
very upscale French restaurant. Every day at lunch time, Abraham
would go out the back of his shop and eat his black bread and
herring while smelling the wonderful odors coming from the
restaurant's kitchen.

One day, Abraham was surprised to receive an invoice from the
restaurant for "enjoyment of food." So he went to the restaurant
to point out that he had not bought anything from them. The
manager said, "You're enjoying our food, so you should pay us for
it."

Abraham refused to pay and the restaurant sued him. At the
hearing, the judge asked the restaurant manager to present his
side of the case. The manager said, "Every day, this man comes
and sits outside our kitchen and smells our food while eating his.
It is clear that we are providing added value to his poor food and
we deserve to be compensated for it."

The judge turned to Abraham and said, "What do you have to say
to that?"

Abraham didn't say anything but stuck his hand in his pocket and
rattled the few coins he had inside.

The judge asked him, "What is the meaning of that?"

Abraham replied, "I'm paying for the smell of his food with the
sound of my money."
