This is my cat Frosty.  She's just a b-flat cat that someone picked up as a
stray.  There's a lot of fur there for ticks to hide in when she comes from in from
her forays around the farm!!  She's about 4 years old.  This year it's
exceptionally dry so the tick population is enormous

…...just to let you know about the tick situation, the Dyna-Shield definitely
seems to help. It doesn't last overly long, like only a couple days for the cat (I'm
sure because she cleans it off, but hey it's not going to hurt her so lick away!)
and a little longer for the dog. When Frosty comes in carrying a hitchhiking tick I
know it's time to give her a squirt again. As for my dog, I haven't had to pull any
of those nasty huge blood filled ticks off of him since I started.

I just have a small spray bottle mixed up sitting on the window ledge by the
door. (the weaker 12:1 solution). When kitty walks out, I just give her a quick
spritz as she slinks out the door. (She wasn't really nuts about it the first time I
did it so I get her "on the go". Also have noticed that if I put it on too heavy she,
a completely WHITE very CLEAN cat would come in with dirty smudges. I'm
sure over applying leaves too much oil on the coat which attracts dirt.)

My dog isn't terribly impressed with the spraying either, but it sure seems to do
the trick!! Best part is I have no hesitation letting my dog pile in my lap for a
good scratch and love fest. If I used one of those yukky Frontline chemical
deals I would be hesitant at letting my kids spend as much time with Lucky as
they do. This is an awesome solution!!
