In the excitement over the unfolding of his scientific and technical powers, modern man has built a system of production that ravishes nature and a type of society that mutilates man.

A defense of conscious wealth, of creative and unselfish capital, will be needed, and Voluntary Poverty alone can settle the conflict without upset to the basic rights of freedom.

Both my husband, John Hanna, and I, Rowan Emrys, come from
nutritionally-oriented, holistically-minded backgrounds, so ever since we got
together in 1964, it has been natural for us to continue that life-style. After 23
years in the dental field, in 1987 I earned my certification as both a massage
therapist and a NeuroMuscular Therapist to add to my proficiency in CranioSacral
Therapy following my achievement of becoming a Reiki Master.
John became enamored of horses as a youngster when an older half-brother
introduced him to trick riding while I went the "normal" little girl route of falling in
love with The Black Stallion so thoroughly that I was actually able to take years of
riding lessons. So again, our interests coincided. When we met, John had an own
daughter of Nowata Star and we grew from there with some of the finest AQHA
foundation stock available at the time. We retired from active breeding in 2001 to
enable us to turn our attention to more of the philosophical aspects of life.
All the while we were breeding horses, we were also raising children, German
Shepherd Dogs, numerous cats and an untold number of guinea pigs, mice,
gerbils, turtles and even one snake along the way. Now we are down to 3 horses,
1 dog, 2 cats, 5 grandchildren ranging in age from 5 to 29, and one almost
great-grandchild.
It is our fondest hope that perhaps some of our offerings on this website, a
compendium of a lifetime of both experience and study, may open new doors of
perception for some of our visitors.

. . . a Guide for Living Energetically
About us ...
Our new lives in Pagosa Springs have changed radically due to our current health challenges.
Last spring I came up with a burst appendix for which I did not seek treatment until almost too late. But, after literally months of hospital and rehab center, lesson learned, I am recovering slowly but surely.
To top it off, while I was still in the hospital, John was diagnosed with terminal bone marrow cancer. After having fought his way back from stage 4 prostate cancer a few years ago, it was devastating news. Good news is that he is responding incredibly well with all of our natural approaches plus his chemo.
We made the decision to move back to Ft Collins to be close to family and friends and will be there by the end of August.
Thank you all for your love, prayers and support.
